Ron van Den Akker

Ron van den Akker serves as the Chief Operational Excellence Officer and Head of Group Operational Excellence at dsm-firmenich since May 2023. Additionally, Ron holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Stichting NAP and at the Management of Engineering Projects at TU Delft since April 2024 and July 2020, respectively. Prior to his current roles, Ron had a distinguished career at DSM from August 1989 to May 2023, where responsibilities included Vice President for Environment, Operations Sustainability & Global Manufacturing Programs, and various leadership positions in procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing. Ron holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from Delft University of Technology, earned between 1983 and 1989.
