Akram al Shawish

Akram Al Shawish has extensive experience in the banking and financial sector, currently serving as SVP-Head of Asset and Investments Operations at Dubai Islamic Bank since June 1999, where oversight includes four back office departments and continuous development of risk and control functions. Prior to this role, Akram held the position of Assistant Manager in the Internal Audit Department at Palestine International Bank, contributing to the establishment of the bank. Experience also includes working as a Financial Analyst at the Palestine Monetary Authority, where Akram helped establish the Bank’s Supervision Department, and as Assistant Head of Division at the Central Bank of Jordan, focusing on credit approvals and banking instructions. Akram holds an MBA in Financial Management from Southeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking from Yarmouk University.
