George T. Hamrick

George T. Hamrick is the Senior Vice President and Chief Transmission Officer at Duke Energy.

Hamrick began their career at Duke Energy Corporation in 2009 as a Nuclear Station Plant Manager. George held this position for three years before being promoted to Site Vice President of the Harris Nuclear Plant in 2012.

After a year in this role, Hamrick was again promoted, this time to Site Vice President of the Brunswick Nuclear Station. George held this position for just over a year before returning to their current role at Duke Energy in 2014.

George T. Hamrick has a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
