M Umair Riaz is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in broadcasting and technical support. Currently serving as the Head of the Technical Department at DUNYA NEWS since May 2023, Umair previously held the position of Senior Broadcast Engineer at Spacer Media Group from December 2019 to April 2023, and worked as a Broadcast Engineer at DUNYA NEWS from October 2015 to November 2019, focusing on complete technical support and software assistance. Early career experiences include roles as a Trainee Engineer at Aisha Steel Mills Limited and IMS Engineering (Pvt) Ltd., as well as a Customer Service Executive at HRSI, showcasing a diverse skill set in engineering and customer support. Umair holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Indus University and has foundational education in Pre-Engineering from NCR-CET.
