Yao Liu

Yao Liu has had a diverse work experience in the field of product and experience design. They have worked with companies such as Duolingo, where they started as a Senior Product Designer in November 2018 and later became a Staff Product Designer in March 2021. They also served as the Head of Product Design at Mobike from January 2017 to April 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Designer at Uber from September 2015 to December 2016. Yao Liu started their career at Sweet Little Websites as a Freelancing Designer in September 2009 and has also held design roles at Talkways and Schwann. Their experience in the industry spans over a decade, with a focus on product and experience design.

Yao Liu attended Sir Winston Churchill High School from 2005 to 2008, but did not obtain a specific degree or field of study during this time. After completing high school, Yao Liu went on to study at the University of Calgary from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Engineering.
