David Dungan

Director at DuPage Medical Group

A board-certified member of DuPage Medical Group’s internal medicine and pediatrics departments, Dr. David Dungan is an experienced internist who specializes in infant, child and adolescent healthcare. He is a certified provider of neonatal advanced life support (NALS) and basic life support, as well as a certified instructor in advanced cardiac life support. His special areas of clinical interest include cholesterol, hypertension, nutrition and preventive medicine, including obesity prevention. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Dungan chairs the data committee and serves as medical advisor for the Fighting Obesity Reaching healthy Weight Among Residents of DuPage (FORWARD) initiative in DuPage County, which is dedicated to building community based systems to counter the growing problem of childhood obesity and its complications. In addition, Dr. Dungan is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. He is affiliated with Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.

Dr. Dungan joined DMG in 2000. Prior to joining DuPage Medical Group, Dr. Dungan received his medical degree in 1988 from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood. He completed his combined Residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Loyola University Medical Center/Foster McGaw Hospital.
