Amy E. Alving
Director
Amy E. Alving has been a member of the board of directors of Arconic since 2016, and of Fannie Mae since 2013; she was also a director of the Pall Corporation from 2010 until it was acquired in 2015. She served as the chief technology officer of SAIC (now, Leidos) from 2007 until 2013, where she was responsible for the creation, communication and implementation of its technical vision and strategy. Prior to joining SAIC, Dr. Alving was the director of the Special Projects Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, where she was a member of the federal Senior Executive Service. She has been a White House Fellow and started her career in academia, achieving tenure in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Minnesota. She holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University. Age: 54.
