Leonardo Gonzales

Leonardo Gonzales has extensive experience in software development and project leadership, currently serving as Project Leader for Web backend and Infrastructure at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since February 2016, where responsibilities include the management of projects related to UniProt. Prior to this role, Leonardo held positions as Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer, contributing to the redevelopment of UniProt. Between August 2012 and January 2016, Leonardo was a teacher at Instituto Educacional Jaguary, focusing on disciplines such as Software Engineering and Computer Science. Additionally, Leonardo has a strong background in Java development, having worked as an IT Specialist and Technical Lead at IBM and as a Java Developer at PRX soluções em gestão agroindustrial. Leonardo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Fundação Educacional do Município de Assis and further education from Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba.
