Charles W. Ergen

Charlie Ergen is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of DISH Network and EchoStar Corporation, a role they have held since 1980. Charlie oversees DISH's long-term business development and strategy, focusing on the company’s emerging wireless division and opportunities in 5G. Charlie earned a Bachelor of Science in General Business and Accounting from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University. An avid mountain climber, Charlie has climbed all of Colorado’s 14 thousand-foot peaks and scaled notable summits including Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Aconcagua. Charlie has been married to their wife Candy for over 30 years and has five children.
