Eric Raamot

CTO at ECONOLITE

Eric Raamot has served as the CTO for Econolite since 2017, This current role has focus upon industry standards, B2B partnerships, and technical oversight of key programs. Prior to this role, Eric served as Econolite’s VP of Engineering for 15 years, and was responsible for oversight of the development, integration, and support of Econolite’s Centracs ATMS systems as well as embedded products including the Cobalt and ASC/3 controllers. Eric began his ITS career developing traffic control firmware including AECOM’s OASIS 2070 traffic control program as well as Econolite’s ASC/3 firmware. Eric has been directly involved in a number of transportation industry standards, including NEMA TS2, NTCIP, ATC, and SAE, as well as USDOT’s various open source efforts.

Before joining Econolite, Mr. Raamot was responsible for firmware and software development, as well as systems integration for AECOM Systems Integration Group, which was later acquired by Econolite.

Mr. Raamot holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
