Nse-Abasi Esema

Nse-Abasi Esema serves as the Senior Vice President for the Green Economy at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, overseeing initiatives in offshore wind as part of NYC's industry development. Previously, Nse-Abasi held roles such as Vice President and Assistant Vice President focusing on Smart & Sustainable Cities, and contributed as a Senior Program Manager at 100 Resilient Cities, where Nse-Abasi influenced urban resilience strategies across Africa and North America. Additional experience includes directing community media projects at the MIT Community Innovators Lab and working in digital media and research at The Boston Foundation. Nse-Abasi's academic credentials include a Master’s in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, supplemented by international study programs in cities across multiple continents.
