Monitoring and Evaluations at Eden Reforestation Projects

Michael Brown is currently Monitoring and Evaluations at Eden Reforestation Projects. Prior to that, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland studying the impacts of forest carbon on the universities campus to help inform the campus’ carbon neutral pledge. Before that, they interned with NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration conducting marine surveys in Chesapeake Bay tributaries using SONAR devices to find suitable habitats for oyster restoration projects. Michael also interned with the U.S. Naval War College where they managed and created Library Databases for historic instructions. Supervised a historic book collection move to prevent mold and was in charge of processing new books into the main collection. Prior to that, they worked as a Greenhouse Employee at Schartner’s Farm Market from September 2014 to August 2016.

Michael Brown has earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland. Their focus is on land use and they plan to continue their education in this field.
