Rob Arnold

Rob Arnold currently serves as Sustainability Research Director at EDHEC Business School since 2023. Previously, from 2016 to January 2023, Rob was the Principal Advisor on Net-Zero Carbon Energy at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), focusing on technical consultancy and strategic planning for low-carbon energy projects. Prior experience includes roles such as Principal Energy Engineering Analyst and Senior Science Advisor at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, where Rob contributed to the net-zero carbon transition through policy analysis and technology funding. Rob’s career began with positions at Defra, managing environmental policy and technology analysis, and as a Climate, Environment & Energy Consultant at Greenergy. Rob holds a PhD in Energy and Environment from Imperial College London, complemented by a Master’s in Environmental Technology and a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from The University of Manchester.
