Oras Tynkkynen

Oras Tynkkynen is currently a Member of Parliament in Finland since April 2023, having previously served in the same capacity from July 2004 to April 2015. Tynkkynen is a Senior Advisor at Sitra, advising on climate, energy, and circular economy since August 2014, and is also the Chair of the Board at Tyrsky Consulting, a climate and sustainability consultancy co-founded by Tynkkynen. Additionally, Tynkkynen has held positions such as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Tampereen Sähkölaitos since May 2018, and was the Chairman of the Board for Tampere Regional Solid Waste Management Ltd. until June 2018. Previous experience includes serving as a Climate Policy Specialist at the Prime Minister's Office and participating in various parliamentary committees and international friendship groups. Tynkkynen's academic background includes a Master of Social Sciences from the University of Tampere.
