Peter Brau

Peter Brau is the Vice President of Finance at edX. Peter joined the company in August 2018 and has been instrumental in growing the business and scaling the finance operations. Prior to joining edX, Peter was the Vice President of Finance at Aliaswire, a leading payments platform technologies firm. Peter also served on the organizing committee for the MIT Sloan CFO Summit. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Vice President of Finance and Operations at Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP).

Peter Brau received their MA in Religion and Social Ethics from the University of Southern California, their MS in Accounting from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School, and their MA in Theology from Boston College. Peter also holds a BSC in Finance from Santa Clara University and a BA in Religious Studies from Santa Clara University. Peter is also a Certified Public Accountant.
