Kyle Welborn

Kyle Welborn is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in the startup ecosystem, currently serving as Cofounder and General Partner at Cultivation Capital since February 2012. As Managing Director at The Yield Lab since January 2016, Welborn focuses on Series Seed and Series A investments in global Food and AgTech startups while supporting accelerator activities in Latin America. Additional roles include board and observer positions at companies such as Ascribe Bioscience, Hydrosat, EIWA, and NanoGuard Technologies Inc. Welborn contributed to the growth of startups through strategic oversight and mentorship, and previously served as an adjunct instructor at Saint Louis University. An entrepreneur at heart, Welborn founded the FinServe Tech Angels, an angel investment group dedicated to financial services technology ventures. Welborn holds a BA in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago, obtained in 2008.
