Jonathan Trejo

Jonathan Trejo, P.E., PMP, currently serves as the Manager of Protection Metering Automation & Control at El Paso Electric Company, with a career that has spanned over a decade within the organization. This extensive experience includes roles such as Supervisor of P&C Design & Automation Engineering and various engineering positions focused on designing complex substation and transmission systems, including protection, automation, and control schemes. Jonathan has also contributed to research and development of new technologies and standards in engineering design. Previous roles include Graduate Research Assistant at New Mexico State University, where renewable energy projects were planned and documented, and a Graduate Fellow position with the US Federal Government, focusing on mission-critical projects. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, an MBA in Finance, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Utility Regulation & Economics, all obtained from New Mexico State University.
