Matthew McClean

Matthew McClean is a Civil & Structural Engineer currently involved in the Spiorad na Mara Offshore Wind Farm project as part of a joint venture with Northland Power Inc. and ESB since January 2024. Previously, Matthew has served as a Senior Civil Engineer at ESB since March 2022 and worked at ESB International from August 2017 to March 2022 in various engineering roles. Early career experience includes a Summer Engineering Internship at Abbott Diabetes Care in 2015. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Galway and has a Certificate in Professional Engineering from Technological University Dublin. Additionally, Matthew obtained a degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Galway and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Offshore Renewable Energy from University College Cork, set to complete in October 2024.
