Philip Roy

Philip Roy has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Philip started their career at Sun Microsystems where they held various positions for 15 years, including pre-sales, sales, sales management, and heading the Public Sector vertical for emerging EMEA markets. Philip then founded and served as the Managing Director of CPE Middle East, focusing on the physical security and Public Safety markets. After that, they joined Greenplum as a Sales Director and played a key role in turning MEA into the largest revenue contributor of EMEA in just 2 years. Philip transitioned to Pivotal Software and took on the role of Senior Regional Director - EMEA, where they consolidated three company cultures into one, managed change and people, and delivered market penetration and revenue growth. Philip later joined ClickFox, The Journey Company as the VP Sales EMEA, leading the Customer Journey Analytic market. Prior to their current role, they worked as the VP EMEA at Mattermost, a high trust open core DevOps collaboration platform. Currently, they serve as the VP of Sales at Element, a global open source messaging app with unique features like a federated architecture and end-to-end encryption.

Philip Roy obtained a Master's degree in IT engineering from EPSI, where they studied from 1989 to 1991.
