Mike Jackson

Investor in Residence at Elemental Excelerator

Mike works with Elemental Excelerator’s companies to help position them for venture capital investment as well as recruits promising new companies to join the Elemental Excelerator portfolio. Mike has been a partner at the Westly Group, a clean energy-focused venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley with over $300 million under management. In this role, he led investments in to several of the firm’s portfolio companies, including Simple Energy, Enerkem, Honest Buildings, Good Eggs, and others. He has played key roles in the firm in sourcing, evaluating new opportunities, serving on boards, and fundraising. Prior to the Westly Group, Mike was co-founder and CEO of Village Green Energy, a retail provider of renewable energy certificates. Before this, he served as India Program Lead at the Program on Energy and Sustainable Development at Stanford University. Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering, as well as a double major in Biology and Earth Systems, all from Stanford University. Mike plays guitar and piano, but is nowhere near as good at dancing as his namesake.
