Rick Younce

Rick Younce is an accomplished Optical Systems Engineer currently at Elenion Technologies, with extensive experience in optical transmission research and development from previous roles at Coriant, Inc. and Tellabs. With a robust background in optical architecture, network performance, and silicon photonics modeling, Rick has contributed to significant advancements in high-capacity transmission technologies. As a former Director of Engineering at Tellabs, Rick managed large R&D teams while exploring emerging technologies and leading M&A activities. Additionally, Rick has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Notre Dame, teaching courses in automatic control systems and computer networks. Rick holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.
