Embedded Systems Engineering Lead at Else Labs Inc

Theja Ram Pingali has worked in various roles across a number of companies since 2011. In 2011, they were an Intern at Tech Mahindra (formerly Mahindra Satyam), where they designed signal conditioning circuits and fabricated all electronic and mechanical systems required for the prototype for a project titled "Eye Gesture Controlled Wheelchair using Electro-Oculography". From 2014-2017, they were at R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, where they were the Head of Production Design for the annual festival 8th Mile and also an Event Coordinator for the live music event InSync. In 2017, they were a Research Assistant at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, where they worked on the Master of Applied Science thesis (University of Ottawa): Development of a Human-Accompanying Wheelchair using Ultrasonic Tethering. Theja Ram also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa, developing lab/project guide materials, assisting students in their course projects, and conducting workshops and presentations on Arduino programming and Robot Operating Systems (ROS). Most recently, they have been at Else Labs Inc. since 2020, where they are the Embedded Systems Engineering Lead and an Embedded Engineer Analyst.

Theja Ram Pingali has obtained a Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Ottawa between 2016 and 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Instrumentation Technology from the RV College Of Engineering between 2011 and 2015. Theja Ram also attended The Brigade School between 2004 and 2011. In addition, they obtained a certification in Accessibility Make-a-thon from CEED/CGEC - uOttawa in December 2019.
