Yijun Wang

Yijun (Alex) Wang is a highly experienced lab head and senior scientist specializing in immuno-oncology at EMD Serono, Inc., where responsibilities include leading portfolio projects and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to drive drug discovery efforts. Previously, Yijun served as a scientist in immunology at AZTherapies, focusing on developing in-vitro models to explore neuroinflammation treatments, and worked as a research scientist at Harvard Medical School, optimizing tumor cell line models for cancer therapy research. Prior experience also includes a postdoctoral associate position at UPMC, where Yijun developed immuno-oncology assays. Yijun holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from St. John's University.
