Edwin Wikatene

Edwin Wikatene currently serves as the Pouārahi - National Manager Cultural Responsiveness and Māori Educator at Emerge Aotearoa Group since March 2021, focusing on the design and delivery of programs that enhance awareness of Te Ao Māori values in contemporary settings while fostering Māori leadership in senior management. Prior experience includes roles as a lecturer in Te Ao Tikanga at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and Te Reo Māori at the University of Canterbury, alongside various advisory positions in Māori language and cultural competencies across multiple organizations. Edwin holds a Master’s degree in Te Reo Māori from the University of Canterbury and has completed several qualifications in adult education and Māori studies.
