Michael Vilardo, Subject CEO and co-founder, is a Chicago native and alum of the University of Pennsylvania and UCLA Anderson School of Business. In order to access the courses needed to graduate, Michael, the first Ivy League graduate from his hometown, attended several high schools, showing him firsthand the need for a high school education platform accessible by any student. Dedicated to creating a learning platform that learners can access from any zip code, Michael, who was named one of the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30, co-founded Subject in 2020.
Prior to Subject (formerly known as Emile Learning), Michael was co-founder and CEO of NomΛd, which was later acquired by WISH STR Enterprises. Additionally, Michael led sales & operations for Stanford GSB startup, Dispatcher Inc., which was acquired by Uber during his tenure, and helped launch both Uber Freight and Uber New Mobility.
