Jason began their career at Apex Learning as a Regional Account Executive, Inside Sales Representative, and Lead Generation Team (Telemarketing). In 2010, they moved to Scientific Learning as a Regional Account Executive where they marketed products to the K-12 market. In 2011, they joined Achieve3000 as a National Account Executive. In 2012, they were hired as a National Account Manager at K12, where they developed engaging, individualized learning. In 2014, they worked at both Edgenuity Inc. as an Account Executive and Knovation as a Western Regional Manager. Finally, in 2020, they joined Stride, Inc. as a National Account Executive - Western Region and is currently employed as a Senior Account Executive - Subject.

Doug Blanchard III has been working in the sales industry for over 10 years. Doug began their career in 2011 as a Field Sales Manager for CUTCO Cutlery, where they were responsible for selling over $75k worth of Cutco on self-generated appointments and building a base of over 300 current customers and over 1,000 potential customers. Doug then moved on to Vector Marketing in 2015, where they held the roles of District Executive Manager, Pilot Sales Manager, and Assistant Manager. In 2018, Doug took on the role of Strategic Growth Manager at PurpleCloud Technologies, and then moved on to Southern Proper Hospitality as a Front Of House Manager/ Trainer, where they managed a staff of 20+ individuals and created and developed growth strategies resulting in 100% growth month over month. Most recently, Doug began working as a Senior Account Executive at DreamBox Learning in 2019, advocating for educational equity and impacting students with respect to their math learning. Dwight Ho-Sang has worked in education since 2002, starting as a Corps Member for Teach For America. Dwight then became a Teacher for Atlanta Public Schools in the same year. Vivi Wu, CPA has extensive experience in financial and accounting roles. Vivi began their career in 2011 as an Assurance Services Audit at Ernst & Young. In 2012, they joined Dong and Associates, CPA as a Senior Accountant, where they gained experience in tax planning, bookkeeping, FP&A, mergers and acquisitions, budgeting, and forecasting. In 2014, they founded ViviPet Inc, where they were a quality-approved Vendor for Chewy.com, Walmart, TJ Maxx, health spot and LA local pet shops. Vivi sold the business to Chewy. In 2016, they joined Jiangsu Shagang Co., Ltd. as the Financial Controller, where they were responsible for establishing the accounting and finance team from scratch. In 2020, they joined Adnant as a Financial Controller, where they led the Org. Prowess committee to improve financial processes and systems, provided suggestions to C-levels from strategic finance and business analytic aspects, and worked as the controller to support their clients. Vivi also cleaned eight years of financial records to ensure data accuracy and completeness, and established dashboards and metrics to track company performance. In 2007, they returned to teaching as a Spanish Teacher for the Tempe Union High School District. Ellie Vondracek has a wealth of experience in the education field. Ellie began their career in 2012 teaching English Language Arts at Chicago Public Schools. In 2013, they moved to Lighthouse Academies, where they taught English Language Arts/Reading to four sections of seventh graders. In 2015, they joined Noble Schools as a Content Team Lead and Reading Teacher/Advisor. In 2019, they taught English to over 250 non-native learners in Madrid, Spain as an English Language Assistant. In 2020, they taught English at Magic Ears Official, created 15 online lessons for Noble Schools, and taught English Language Arts at Connections Academy. In 2021, they became a Learning Design Manager - ELA and Curriculum Development Lead at Subject, as well as a Teaching Assistant at Braven.

Ellie Vondracek's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from St. Olaf College, which they completed between 2008 and 2012. Ellie then obtained a Professional Educator's License from Dominican University between 2012 and 2013, which qualified their to teach Language Arts and Social Science 6-8/English Language Arts 9-12. In 2019, they completed a Specialist in Methodology and Evaluation of Teaching and Learning English in the Classroom from Universidad Pontificia Comillas.

Ellie Vondracek

Ebony Paster has had a diverse work experience since 2013. Ebony began their career as a Financial Coach Fellow at Capital Good Fund, where they coached struggling families on financial, education, and health security. Ebony then took on a Research and Development Intern role at 826LA, where they worked on pushing newly published books out to stores, promoting events, and researching, editing, and writing grant proposals. In 2013, they also interned as a Data Specialist at the California State University Summer Algebra Institute. 

In 2014, they held an Administrative Assistant role at the California State University Summer Algebra Institute. In 2016, Ebony joined Teach For America as a Corps Member, where they were an early admit selected from more than 45,000 applicants nationwide. Ebony was also a Math Teacher and Chairperson Of School Site Council at LA's Promise. 

From 2018 to 2022, Ebony worked at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools as a Curriculum Lead, Grade Level Lead, and Math Department Lead. Ebony then joined Subject as an Instructional Design Manager (Math) and was later promoted to Senior Instructional Design Manager (Math). In this role, they managed all math curriculum and ensured alignment to state and national standards, collaborated and provided feedback to collaborators and external vendors, and designed and implemented Subject's math vision.

Ebony Paster has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University with an emphasis on Human Development, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Brown University in the Business Economic Track of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations (BEO), a Master's Degree from Loyola Marymount University with an emphasis in Digital Learning, and a High School Diploma from View Park Preparatory Accelerated High School. Additionally, Ebony has obtained a number of certifications, including an Invited MBA mini-MBA in December 2022, a Full Mathematics Single Subject Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in July 2021, and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in November 2022.

Dylan Hoffman has an extensive work experience. Dylan began their career in 2014 as a Business Strategy Consultant at Accenture, working on growth and digital transformation projects for technology, media, and communications clients. Dylan then moved on to Senior Business Strategy Analyst at Xbox, leading product and technology strategy engagements and co-managing Accenture's Video Game practice. In 2018, they became Co-Founder and CFO of Cova Cowork, an emerging coworking & childcare business based in the Columbus, Ohio area. That same year, they also worked as a Digital Product Manager at Boeing, leading a digital product team in build + deploy phases. In 2020, Hoffman worked as a Summer Growth Equity Associate at Pontifax Global Food and Agriculture Technology Fund, and as an Investor, Venture Capital at Brand Foundry Ventures, a consumer-focused VC firm based out of Austin, TX. Dylan then moved on to Touchdown Ventures, where they worked as an Investor, Venture Capital. Currently, Hoffman is Director of Operations and Senior Operations Strategy Manager at Subject.

Dylan Hoffman is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at The Wharton School, which they began in 2019. Dylan is also part of Cohort 7 at GoingVC, a venture capital program. Previously, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B. A.) degree in International Business at Seattle University between 2009 and 2013. During that time, they also completed a Study Abroad Degree Requirement in Beijing, China at the University of International Business and Economics in 2011.

Chelsea Armstrong has 8 years of work experience in the education and fitness industries. Chelsea began their career in 2013 as an IB Lead Teacher (Spanish) for the Dallas Independent School District. In 2015, they became a 3rd Grade Teacher for IDEA Public Schools. In 2016, they were a High School Spanish Teacher for Fayetteville High School East. In 2017, they were a Group Fitness Instructor for Zen Studio Fitness. In 2020, they were a Spanish Teacher for Eanes-Westlake Innovative School District. In 2021, they were a Learning Design Specialist for Pacific Life, a Content & Curriculum Manager for Subject, and an E-Learning Designer + Group Fitness Instructor for SpoonMoon.

Chelsea Armstrong obtained a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Arkansas in 2013, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Arkansas in 2012. In October 2021, they obtained certifications in Designing a Training Program: Setting Goals, Objectives, and Mediums from LinkedIn, and Elearning Essentials: Storyboarding from LinkedIn.

Anthony Grady Jr. has been in the customer success and management fields since 2015. Anthony began their career at Enterprise as a Branch Manager, where they were responsible for preparing financial statements, managing employees, and recruiting new employees. In 2018, they moved to StretchLab Franchise as a General Manager. In 2020, they joined Paper as a Lead Customer Success Manager and then was promoted to Director of Customer Success. Anthony currently holds this position at Subject.

Anthony DeNitto has a varied work experience. Anthony began their professional career as a NCAA Division I Track and Field Decathlete at Harvard Athletics in 2016. In 2018, they became a Film Producer at SCS Financial. In 2019, they worked as a Junior Varsity Football Coach at Newton South High School, a Photographer and Photo Researcher at Harvard University, and a Sports Broadcaster at The Ivy League. In 2021, they were an Intern at Hungry Man, a Head Of Marketing at Peac LLC, and a Production Assistant at Delirio Films. Anthony is currently working as a Director at Subject and an Animation Director at the Museum of Science.

In 2018, they became the Managing Partner and Inaugural Investment Partner at Arrow Capital. In 2019, they were the VP of Admissions and Marketing for the Berkeley M.E.T. Student Board and a Product Development and Software Engineering Intern at Eventbrite. In 2020, they were an Accel Scholar, an Associate Product Manager Intern at Subject, a Product Manager Intern at Blend, and an Associate Product Manager Intern at Salesforce. Amy is currently an Associate Product Manager at Subject and an 8VC Fellow.

Amy Guo is currently studying at the University of California, Berkeley, where they are pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Business Administration. Amy is also enrolled in the UC Berkeley College of Engineering and the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Prior to this, they attended Northwood High School from 2014 to 2018.

Abraham Vigdorchik has a diverse work experience. Abraham began their career in 2013 as a Barista at Java Joes. In 2015, they worked as a Counselor at Camp Krem - Camping Unlimited and an Intern at St. Luke's Hospital. Abraham also worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford Health Care in 2013. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Stanford University as a Teaching Assistant. In 2017, they were a Lead Mentor at Debate Mate. From 2020 to 2021, they worked at Summit Public Schools (Public Charter Network) as a Biology Teacher, and they are currently a Curriculum Development Lead at Subject.

Felix Ruano is the Co-founder and Subject. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Vault Prep, and before that, they worked as a business analyst for [McKinsey & Company](/org/mckinsey-company) and Grata. Felix also worked as a private equity analyst for BayBoston and as a venture capitalist for Phenom Ventures. Felix graduated from [Harvard University](/org/harvard) in 2016 with a degree in Economics.

After completing their A.B. in Economics at [Harvard University](/org/harvard), Felix Ruano attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where they earned their degree.

Michael Vilardo, Subject CEO and co-founder, is a Chicago native and alum of the University of Pennsylvania and UCLA Anderson School of Business. In order to access the courses needed to graduate, Michael, the first Ivy League graduate from his hometown, attended several high schools, showing him firsthand the need for a high school education platform accessible by any student. Dedicated to creating a learning platform that learners can access from any zip code, Michael, who was named one of the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30, co-founded Subject in 2020.

Prior to Subject (formerly known as Emile Learning), Michael was co-founder and CEO of NomΛd, which was later acquired by WISH STR Enterprises. Additionally, Michael led sales & operations for Stanford GSB startup, Dispatcher Inc., which was acquired by Uber during his tenure, and helped launch both Uber Freight and Uber New Mobility.
