Hedwin Kitdorlang Dkhar currently serves as an Associate Scientist at Emory University since November 2019, where responsibilities include leading OMICS projects focused on understanding the transcriptome of innate immune cells during tuberculosis infection, as well as mentoring individuals in Biosafety Level III practices. Previously, Hedwin worked as an Assistant Scientist at the University of Florida from August 2015 to November 2019, contributing to research aimed at finding a cure for tuberculosis after extensive training in mentoring, leadership, and management. A Ph.D. holder in Infectious Disease and Cell Biology from the Institute of Microbial Technology Chandigarh, Hedwin also completed a DBT-JRF in Neurobiology and Behavior at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, TIFR, Bengaluru, an MSc in Biotechnology/Microbiology at MS BARODA, and a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from St. Anthony's College.
