Maria Alejandra Bahamon

Maria Alejandra Bahamon is currently a Sales Business Development professional at Emulate, Inc., focusing on expanding Organ-on-a-chip technology into new markets. Previously, Maria worked as an Associate Researcher at NYU Langone Health, where expertise included engineering synthetic yeast with human epigenetic proteins and Marek Disease Virus genes. Maria also held a Business Development Intern position at NYU Technology Opportunities & Ventures and served as an Associate Researcher at CIAT, where a new strategy for AgTech Digital Transformation was developed. Earlier experience includes identifying cyanobacterial enzymes at Purdue University, assisting in horticultural research, and reviewing pharmaceutical alkaloids from Amaryllidaceae plants. Maria holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship from New York University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology from Universidad ICESI.
