Karen Abbott

Karen Abbott is the current General Counsel at Endicott College. Karen has held this position since September 2014. Prior to that, they served as the General Counsel at Southern New Hampshire University from June 2011 to August 2014. In this role, they were responsible for all legal affairs of the university, including its traditional campus and online divisions.

Abbott is a solutions-driven professional who is known for tackling all legal and business issues in a proactive, collaborative, and effective manner. Karen is a member of Endicott College's senior management team and advises the President, Board of Trustees, and senior management team in strategic areas including legal, compliance, and risk management. Karen is also responsible for legal oversight of all business transactions, regulatory compliance (including Title IX, Title IV, Clery, and ADA), employment matters, student affairs, insurance, intellectual property, and policies.

Karen Abbott graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. in International Relations. Karen then attended Syracuse University College of Law and earned their J.D.

They work with Brian Wylie - Assistant VP, Athletics, Anthony Ferullo - VP, Finance, and Bryan Cain - VP, Communications and Marketing. Karen Abbott reports to Steven R. DiSalvo, President.
