Alex Huang is a Principal Engineer at Enphase Energy since August 2019, specializing in battery thermal runaway modeling and design simulation for compliance with UL9540A testing standards. Responsibilities include architecting thermal solutions, conducting gap analysis for battery longevity, and developing a predictive battery loss assessment process. Previously, Alex held the role of Principal Engineer at Dell EMC, where thermal investigations and feasibility studies for advanced storage systems were conducted. This role involved managing international development cycles and enhancing product designs through rigorous risk mitigation strategies. Earlier experience as a Research and Development Engineer at IBM focused on designing thermal solutions for high-density computational systems. Alex holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and is currently pursuing an MS in Electrical Engineering, alongside a certification in Computational Finance and Risk Management.
