Sophie Marx

Sophie Marx is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability, marketing, and communications within various sectors. Currently serving as Senior Manager for the U.S. Fellowship Program at the Environmental Defense Fund since April 2021, Sophie has previously held advisory roles at Recurate and the Climate Leadership Initiative, focusing on philanthropy and resale innovation. At Matter Unlimited, Sophie was a Senior Director, leading projects for notable clients such as Nike and Stanford University, and prior to that, Sophie directed marketing and events at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), implementing high-impact cause marketing strategies. Sophie's educational background includes a Sustainability Program at the University of California, Berkeley, and Business Strategies for Sustainability at Stanford University, complemented by a BA in English and Anthropology from Connecticut College.
