Dr. Robert S. Langer appointed to EpiBone Board of Directors
Medicine company EpiBone, Inc. has announced the addition of Dr. Robert S. Langer to its Board of Directors. Among his many achievements, Dr. Langer is a Lemelson-MIT prize winner, an accolade reserved for medicine’s most prolific inventors. "Dr. Langer is a storied figure in the industry, as well as a successful serial entrepreneur," said EpiBone Board Chairman Elma Hawkins. "He will be an essential asset in driving EpiBone's progress forward, and creating tangible value for all our stakeholders." Dr. Langer holds 34 honorary doctorates from institutions all over the world, and is one of only 11 Institute Professors at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a faculty member. He has won more than 220 awards, and is one of only three living people to be honored with the United States National Medal of Science and the United States National Medal of Technology and Innovation.
