VP, Decentralized Trials & Virtual Health at Equideum Health

Joe Wood is the current Vice President of Decentralized Trials & Virtual Health at Equideum Health. Prior to this, they were with Matrix Medical Network as a locums endocrinologist from October 2020 to February 2021. Before that, they were with Weatherby Healthcare from May 2020 to January 2022 as the Vice President of Decentralized Trials and Virtual Health and the Executive Director of VICI. Joe has also been a telemedicine endocrinologist volunteer with the American Red Cross from October 2019 to December 2021.

From January 2018 to June 2019, Joe was the Chief Medical Officer of Virtual Health at Regional Health Command-Atlantic. From December 2017 to January 2020, they were an Advisor at MyMedBot. Joe Wood has a MD from The George Washington University, a PhD in Endocrinology from Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, and a BS in Chemistry from University of North Georgia. Joe is Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Joe is also a Certified Guide by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and a Fellow by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and the American College of Physicians.

Their manager is Heather Flannery, Founder & CEO. They work with Robert Popovian - VP, Health Economics & Policy, Verena Kallhoff - VP, Omics & Precision Health, Director, Data Integrity & Learning Network, DILN Business Operations, and Betsy Dalton - Executive Assistant to the CEO.
