Stian Hjorteland

Stian Hjorteland is a Senior Engineer in Operation and Maintenance at Equinor, where responsibilities include serving as Maintenance Engineering Lead for projects such as Empire Wind 1 and Baltyk 2 & 3. Previous roles at Equinor involved being an Engineer on Hywind Tampen and a Graduate Engineer focused on Maintenance Engineering for wind turbines and offshore construction projects. Stian's experience also includes summer internships at Norsk Hydro, Veidekke Norge, and Naturkraft AS, where tasks ranged from quality control to hands-on construction work. Stian holds a Master of Science in Engineering Structures and Materials with a specialization in Renewable Energy and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Structural Engineering, both from the University of Stavanger. Additionally, Stian served in the Norwegian Armed Forces and worked as a chess coach at Stavanger Chess Club.
