Joachim Schlieber

Joachim Schlieber serves as the Chair of the Austrian Resuscitation Council since January 2023 and holds multiple leadership roles at ÖAMTC Flugrettung, including Medical Director for both Christophorus 7 and Alpin 1 since December 2012. With extensive involvement in the ERC European Resuscitation Council since 2012, Joachim contributes to the Development Committee Education and the Science and Education Committee for Advanced Life Support, in addition to chairing the International Course Committee in Immediate Life Support. Joachim has been a consultant for anaesthesiology and intensive care at Unfallkrankenhaus Salzburg since December 2012, along with serving as a HEMS Doctor for helicopter emergency services. Previous positions include Vice Director of the anesthesia department at General & Orthopedic Hospital Stolzalpe from June 2005 to November 2012 and a registrar at the Medical Center Erlangen from June 2001 to May 2005. Education culminated in a medical degree from Karl-Franzens Universität Graz in 1996 after attending Bundesgymnasium und Bundesrealgymnasium Völkermarkt.
