Cathal Marley

Cathal Marley is the current acting Group CEO at Ervia. Prior to this, they held the position of Group CFO at Ervia from April 2016 to February 2019. Before joining Ervia, Marley was with ESB for 20 years, where they held the role of Head of Group Treasury & Investor Relations. In this role, they were responsible for all Banking Relationships, Funding in Debt Capital Markets, Cash Management & FX/Interest Rate Risk Management activities for the €5 billion ESB Group. Prior to that, Marley worked as an Independent Financial Consultant for the World Bank, leading a detailed commercial review of the textile manufacturing sector in the Czech & Slovak Republics. Cathal began their career with Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager in Internal Audit.

Cathal Marley has an MBA in Business from the Michael Smurfit Business School at UCD, and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Cathal also has a degree from Dublin City University, as well as one from University College Dublin. Cathal began their educational career at St Columbas College in Stranorlar, Co Donegal, Ireland.
