Bottled water producer Essentia Water has added three new executives to its Senior Leadership Team. Zola Kane has been announced as Chief Marketing Officer, Kazumi Mechling as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Strategic Alliances, and James Konsmo as Senior Vice President of Operations. The trio are all current staff members at Essentia Water, and their promotions are in line with Chief Executive Officer Scott Miller’s focus on talent development.
“Over the last several months, I’ve had the honor to observe and work closely with Essentia’s departmental leaders including Zola, Jim and Kazumi,” said Mr. Miller. “I have been impressed by their visions and voices and am confident that their leadership will help drive Essentia toward its goal of being the no. 1 premium bottled water globally.”
Ms. Kane has been with Essentia Water since 2015. She is an award-winning marketer, who has previously served at electronics manufacturer HTC, as well as with Starbucks, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile. In the role of CMO, she will be responsible for all Essentia’s marketing, including advertising, social media, website, retail marketing, influencer marketing and sponsorships.
Ms. Mechling has more than 30 years of leadership experience in a range of business development and communications roles, including with Disney, Starbucks and Microsoft. In her new position, she will build strategic alliances and elevate Essentia’s corporate communications, with a focus on sustainability, innovation, thought leadership and social responsibility.
Mr. Konsmo has been active in developing and scaling Essentia’s Supply Chain, Quality Assurance and Engineering operations for the past four years, and as the leader of the company’s Operations business, he will continue to build its capabilities. He has considerable experience in the beverage industry, including as an independent consultant to a range of brands in the Greater Seattle area.
