Karl Edwards

Karl Edwards has extensive experience in emergency services, currently serving as the Director of Corporate Services at Essex County Fire and Rescue Service since April 2019. Prior to this role, Karl held multiple positions within the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust from March 1998 to April 2019, including Deputy Director of Operations and General Manager of A&E Operations. Karl's career progression also includes roles such as Regional General Manager for the Health & Emergency Operations Centre, and positions as a Flight Paramedic, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, and Emergency Call Handler. Karl holds a BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science & Emergency Care Practice from the University of Hertfordshire, obtained between 2007 and 2011.
