Reporting directly to our CEO, this person will be directly responsible for human resources, employee engagement, DEI initiatives, supporting our impact program and shaping our culture across a globally distributed, rapidly growing team.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and proactive cultural champion to help shape our organization as we grow. Reporting directly to our CEO, this person will be directly responsible for human resources, employee engagement, DEI initiatives, supporting our impact program and shaping our culture across a globally distributed, rapidly growing team.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all People initiatives throughout an employee’s lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, diversity, equity & inclusion, compliance, benefits management, exit and general policies.
  • Lead the People pillar of our cross-functional Impact team, which is responsible for developing long- and short-term goals, programming and practices that support our mission to create sustainable comfort for people and planet.
  • Act as a thought leader and advisor for leadership and management, partnering with departments to understand business needs and develop strategies to align them with HR initiatives.
  • Serve as an employee advocate and support system, soliciting feedback and utilizing data to enhance our culture, values and the employee experience.
  • Lead the recruitment of new talent as our company grows, including the development of recruiting procedures including job application, sourcing methods, hiring processes and interview training.
  • Develop and oversee our performance management system.
  • Manage our internal and external scholarship programs.
  • Lead coaching, mentoring, and professional development programs to enhance the skills and performance of our global team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in People operations. Experience in a start-up or nascent company a plus
  • Passionate about our mission to create sustainable comfort for people and planet.
  • Autonomous self-starter with appetite to develop People systems and programs from scratch.
  • Superb communication and coaching skills
  • Comfortable in a startup environment with evolving organizational needs.

  • 1 Public Holidays.
  • 15 Vacation Days per year. Plus, an additional 2 vacation days are granted with each year of employment, up to a total maximum of 20 vacation days annually. Unused PTO days carry over.
  • Annual paid activism and volunteerism leave: 1 day.
  • Sick Days (Personal/Carer’s Leave): 10 days per year of employment. Unused sick days carry over.
