Andrea Schmitz

Andrea Schmitz serves as the Chief Risk Officer at Euroclear Bank, where a career spanning over two decades includes multiple significant leadership roles such as Chief Risk Officer for ESES and Head of the GBS Office. Responsibilities have included overseeing finance and risk management, leading a team to deliver banking and cash services projects, and managing diverse teams focused on Banking Solutions and Banking Data Management. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Credit Officer at Euroclear with responsibilities that encompassed credit assessment and methodology oversight across various regions, as well as previous auditing roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Andrea Schmitz holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Economics from Anglia Ruskin University and is an ACCA member.
