Susanne Reither

Susanne Reither serves as the Deputy Head of Cabinet for the S&D Group President at the European Parliament since July 2017, also holding roles as an Economic and Social Policy Adviser and Economic Policy Adviser within the ECON committee, focusing on European economic governance, macroeconomic frameworks, and sustainable finance. Prior to this, Susanne worked as a Political Adviser in the Budgetary Control Committee and as an Assistant at the Council of the European Union, where responsibilities included budget and financial regulation. Susanne has experience as a Parliamentary Policy Adviser in Austria, where analysis of public budgets and taxation systems was conducted, and has held various roles in student and commercial organizations. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in European Studies from Maastricht University, an MA in Latin America Studies from Lateinamerika Institut Wien, and an MSc in Applied Economics from WU Vienna.
