Brett Labonte

Brett LaBonte, CPA, CMA, is an experienced financial professional currently serving as Assistant Controller at Eventide Asset Management since November 2021, having previously held the position of Senior Associate in Finance. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Tax Associate and Tax Associate at KPMG from October 2019 to October 2021, where Brett specialized in preparing and reviewing tax returns for private equity and real estate investment firms, conducting tax code research, managing projects, and training staff. Additionally, Brett was a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Business Law at Brigham Young University in late 2018 and completed internships in tax at KPMG and internal audit at Savage Services. Brett holds a Master's degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business, as well as prior studies at Colorado Mesa University.
