Trade software company Eventus Systems has announced three key executives are joining the business. Joseph Schifano has been named Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, Mikhail Gasiorowski will join the company as Sales Director, North America, and Diane Imas is the new Director of Marketing. All three hires are part of the company’s aggressive growth strategy, and will be based in New York.

"Joe brings outstanding experience to this important new regulatory affairs role, with expertise across the legal, compliance, supervisory, risk management and technology landscapes,” said Eventus CEO Travis Schwab. “Mikhail already has a strong track record running North American Sales in the trade surveillance space, and Diane is another great addition to the firm with her hands-on integrated marketing experience in the fintech and financial services sector. We've been very fortunate at a time when many companies are contracting to add significant depth to our talented team."

Eventus Systems appoints Vincent Turcotte Asia Pacific Sales Director

Software company Eventus Systems Inc. has named Vincent Turcotte as its new Sales Director for the Asia Pacific (APAC). He will be based in Hong Kong and report to Eventus Global Head of Sales Scott Schroeder, with specific responsibility for growing the firm’s presence in the region. "We see tremendous opportunity for growth in APAC, and Vince is ideally suited to help us achieve that goal,” said Mr. Schroeder. “He has extensive, well-rounded capital markets experience across asset classes, as well as a strong track record of accomplishments and outstanding relationships with exchanges, banks and brokerage firms throughout the region. Our CEO Travis Schwab and I had the good fortune to work with Vince many years ago, and we saw in him not only a great colleague but an impressive work ethic. He has a thorough understanding of the challenges our clients and prospects face and our ability to help them solve these." Mr. Turcotte has held a number of Vice President and Director roles at various brokerage firms, as well as senior production and sales management positions at Newedge Group, UBS and JPMorgan Chase. He has worked extensively in Asia, most recently as Director of Asia Pacific Sales for Intercontinental Exchange. "As financial firms in Asia grow their market share within the global industry, they increasingly want to take more control over their destiny and become less reliant on their prime broker or clearing broker,” said Mr. Turcotte. “Eventus can play an important role in helping them determine their own future, define their own risk management policies and take direct responsibility for client management through robust trade surveillance capabilities. I'm excited to introduce a host of new firms – including broker-dealers, FCMs, proprietary trading firms and exchanges – to the broad capabilities and flexibility of Validus in meeting their unique circumstances and regulatory requirements."
