Sy Pretorius

Sy is responsible for driving operational excellence across the company’s growing outsourced service solutions and critical infrastructure operations teams. His experience includes more than 25 years in senior leadership roles across the life sciences industry. Most recently he was President, Clinical Development and Chief Medical Officer at Parexel, overseeing more than 16,000 employees worldwide. An honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FFPM) in the United Kingdom and lecturer in drug development at several institutions including Harvard Medical School, Sy is a Medical Doctor (M.B., Ch.B.) with master’s degrees in Clinical Pharmacology (M.Med.Sc.), Business Administration (MBA) and the Management of Drug Development (MS) from the University of Southern California. He was named to the prestigious PharmaVOICE 100 list in 2017.
