Manufacturing solutions outfit Evolve Additive Solutions has added Andreas Saar to its Board of Directors.
Saar has spent 37 years in the manufacturing industry. Having inaugurated and led the Additive Manufacturing (AM) Program in Siemens Digital Industries Software, and accumulated an expansive knowledge of custom and industry needs, Saar is primed to support Evolve’s commitment to delivering performance for true additive manufacturing production. Evolve anticipates his perspectives will help direct and guide the company as it strategizes for its future.
“We welcome Andreas to our Board. He is a great addition and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge,” stated Steve Chillscyzn, Founder and CEO of Evolve Additive Solutions. “His leadership as a veteran in the industry is a huge asset as we continue to increase our global footprint.”
Saar most recently spent more than 14 years with Siemens Digital Industries Software, holding four different Vice Presidential roles across different company verticals. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Commonwealth Center of Advanced Manufacturing, and holds a degree from the Technische Universität Darmstadt in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration.
“I am honored to join the board of directors for Evolve as a strong believer in the Evolve’s approach to additive part production,” stated Saar. “Evolve’s Selective Thermoplastic Electrophotographic Process (STEP) automation potential and integration into industrial production environments are real game changers for the industry on its way to large volume additive production. This technology is a unique response to the industry demand for reliable, repeatable production of thermoplastic end-user parts.”
