Jamal Johnson

Jamal Johnson is an experienced educational professional with a diverse background in fostering academic success and support for students and families. Currently serving as the Associate Dean of Culture and Operations at Excel Academy Charter Schools since July 2022, Jamal previously held the position of Assistant Dean of Scholars at Argosy Collegiate Charter School from March 2020 to August 2021. Prior experience includes working as a Family Coach at Dunamis Synergy/West Elmwood Housing, where services were provided to assist young parents in achieving their educational and career aspirations. As a College Affordability Advisor at uAspire, Jamal guided high school students through the complexities of financial aid and college preparation. Additional experience includes an internship in athletics operations at Brown University. Jamal holds a Master of Science in Sports Leadership with a concentration in Collegiate Athletics Administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Sports/Entertainment/Event Management from Johnson & Wales University.
