Excella Promotes Tony Solomita to VP of Innovation

Excella has promoted Tony Solomita to Vice President of Innovation. Tony will manage Excella’s innovation engine and managing the portfolio of delivery-related intellectual property and external thought leadership activities. Additionally, his responsibilities will include identifying trends in the industry and supporting employee engagement by providing career direction and community for Excellians. As former Director of Innovation, Tony steps into this role having over a decade of experience with the company. "I've spent the last 22 years helping my clients, partners and colleagues achieve their goals through the use of agile principles and practices. I've done this most recently in my role as the Vice President of Innovation at Excella. As I've grown as an agilist and technologist, my belief in the power of teams has skyrocketed as I've witnessed committed, dedicated teams succeed time and time again. It's amazing what a team can do when they have the desire to be better today than yesterday. It's clear to me that the same can be said for individuals and organizations". Tony has been with Excella since 2006, and carries a B.S. In Commerce, with a concentration in finance and marketing, along with a minor in sociology from the University of Virginia.

Sarath Ravella has been promoted to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. Previously, he was the Director and Market Owner of Defense and has been with the company since 2007. Sarath's responsiblities will include significant strategic and cross-organizational initiatives to grow Excella's presence in new markets, focusing on leading Excella's Defense business development efforts to enter this marketplace. Additionally, he'll take on the initiative for delivery, growth, and management of transformation engagements for Federal clients. Having over a decade of experience with the company, Sarath steps in as someone who is results driven, goal-oriented leader with a strong business and technical background. Responsible for delivery, growth, and management of transformation engagements for Federal clients. Having earned is M.S from George Washington University, his skillset includes business transformation, client strategy, software development, business development, and program management.

Excella Announces Claire Walsh  as Vice President of Engineering and Services

Agile technology solutions provider Excella has announced the promotion of Claire Walsh to ice President of Engineering and Services. In the role, Walsh will be based out of Arlington, Virginia, and report directly to Excella CEO Burton White. As the Vice President of Engineering and Services, Claire will be responsible for maintaining Excella’s capability portfolio for sustainability and growth, establishing baseline delivery practices, and ensuring Excellians have the capability-related skills and practices needed to succeed on projects. Walsh has over 25 years of IT experience and has been with Excella 2015. Prior to joining the team at Excella, she served in numerous senior engineering roles at IDM, The Allant Group, and U.S. Cellular. Walsh graduated from The University of Birmingham in 1994.

Excella names Beth Gomolka Vice President of National Security

Agile technology solutions provider Excella has announced the promotion of Beth Gomolka to Vice President of National Security. In the role, Gomolka will be based out of Arlington, Virginia, and report directly to Excella CEO Burton White. As the Vice President of National Security, Gomolka will be responsible for the effective operation of Excella's activities within the National Security Market through expanding contracts and fostering new work–while enabling engagement managers, project leadership, and staff to achieve agreed-upon targets. Gomolka joined the Excella team over ten years ago in June of 2010 as a Director. In the role, she was responsible for owning, managing, and setting the strategic and execution strategies for the National Security Market, consisting of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice. Gomolka received a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Excella Promotes Jaman Botts to Director of Workforce Management

Excella, a pioneer in Agile technology solutions, has announced the promotion of Jaman Botts to Director of Workforce Management. In the role, Botts formerly served as Resource Manager since joining the company in 2017 and in the new role will report directly to EVP of People Services Mahreen Rashid. He will be based out of the company's Arlington, Virginia office. In the new role, Botts will be responsible for managing, developing, and executing Excella's resource management and workforce strategy by evolving its company's staffing and resource management and creating tailored plans for each of Excella's core and emerging markets. Before joining Excella, in 2017, Botts served as a Resource Manager at Clinovations and prior to that, Grant Thornton. Botts began his career as a Senior Manager at Nextel and graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Economics.

Excella Welcomes Christina Seiden as VP of Strategic Growth

Excella, a pioneer in Agile technology solutions, has appointed Christina Seiden as the company’s Vice President of Strategic Growth. Seiden will play a critical strategic role in expanding Excella’s business by establishing the vision, strategy, and approach to enable top-line growth. She will also help with the expansion of the company’s business into new markets, clients, and transformative solution areas. She previously served as SVP of Operations for NCI Information Systems, where she led sales and service delivery for the company's Agile and Analytics portfolio. In a press release, Excella Co-Founder and CEO Burton White said, “Christina is an exceptional leader, a terrific addition to our leadership team and the perfect complement to Excella's culture and leadership as we continue to grow.
