Michael Ungerer

Michael Ungerer began their work experience in 2004 as the SVP of Operations at AIDA Cruises. Michael held this role until 2012 when they became the President of AIDA Cruises. From 2015 to 2018, Ungerer served as the COO Asia at Carnival Corporation. In 2019, they joined Explora Journeys as the CEO.

Michael Ungerer has a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD. Michael also pursued a degree in Business and Finance from the London Business School. Additionally, they studied Hospitality Administration/Management at the Tourism School Klessheim and Economics at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck.
