Stan Kovler is Vice President of Strategy and Investor Relations. In his role he advises senior leadership on various strategic initiatives working directly under the CEO and in concert with the executive team. He was a key advisor to the Extreme senior leadership team on the acquisition of Aerohive Networks. As head of Investor Relations, Stan is also responsible for communicating Extreme’s strategy and value proposition to investors, analysts, and the greater Wall Street community.

Prior to joining Extreme, Stan was the Small / Midcap IT Hardware and Networking analyst at Citi Research covering stocks across Communications Equipment, Storage, and Consumer Technology sectors. In that role he was recognized as an Institutional Investor Magazine 2017 “Rising Star” in both the IT Hardware and Networking sectors. Prior to Citi Research, Stan worked on teams covering networking and telecom equipment at [Morgan Stanley](/org/morgan-stanley), Merrill Lynch and Susquehanna. 
He started his career at Clearbridge Advisors, formerly Smith Barney Asset Management, on the buy-side.

Stan has an MBA from [Columbia University](/org/columbia-university) and a bachelor’s degree, with honors, from CUNY Baruch College.

Stan Kovler

Mr. Meyercord serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Extreme. He joined our Board of Directors as an independent director in October 2009 and has served as Chairman since March 2011. Prior to assuming an operating role at Extreme, Mr. Meyercord was Chief Executive Officer and Director at Critical Alert Systems, LLC, a software-driven, healthcare information technology company, that he co-founded in July of 2010. Previously, Mr. Meyercord served as CEO, President and Director of both Cavalier Telephone & TV, a privately held voice, video and data services company with an extensive fiber network; and Talk America, Inc., a publicly traded company that provided phone and internet services to consumers and small businesses throughout the U.S. Mr. Meyercord was also a Vice President in the investment banking division of Salomon Brothers (now [Citigroup](/org/citigroup)). He previously served on the board of Tollgrade Communications, Inc.

Joe Vitalone is Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, he oversees global sales, services, channel, and sales operations teams. His primary responsibilities include driving sales productivity and helping to grow Extreme’s market share, revenue, and partnerships.

Joe has more than 35 years of experience in sales, marketing, and operations management. Prior to joining Extreme, he served as EVP and President, Americas Sales and Services for [Mitel](/org/mitel), and Vice President of Sales and Worldwide Channel Marketing at ShoreTel (later acquired by [Mitel](/org/mitel)). Joe helped these companies reach their all-time stock market and 52-week high. Joe was most recently Chief Marketing Officer at Jemez Technology, where he drove the growth and success of global sales and marketing programs, ensuring that initiatives from both departments were integrated and driving toward the same overall goal of increasing revenue. Previously, Joe served as Chief Marketing Officer at Arrow Systems Integration, now [ConvergeOne](/org/convergeone), and Chief Marketing Officer at Razberi Technologies. A technology and sales expert to his core, Joe started his career in sales working for companies including [AT&T](/org/att) and Polycom. Joe graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.

Raj Khanna is a board member at [Extreme Networks](/org/extreme-networks). Raj was previously vice president of corporate audit at [Qualcomm](/org/qualcomm) from January 2004 to December 2011, and before that, they were VP of internal audit at Sun Microsystems from January 1991 to December 2004. Prior to that, they were controller at [Xerox](/org/xerox) from January 1974 to December 1991.

Raj Khanna has a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and an MBA from the [University of Rochester](/org/university-of-rochester)'s Simon Business School.

Wes has 25 years of marketing experience including deep cloud and networking domain expertise, most recently serving as the Chief Marketing Officer at [Mitel](/org/mitel) for the last five years. Starting immediately, he will lead the channel, field, product, and digital marketing teams, reporting to Norman Rice, Chief Operating Officer.

Wes has spent the past decade enabling successful "as-a-service" firms as the world moves from transactions to subscriptions. Most recently, as CMO for [Mitel](/org/mitel), he helped establish the company as the world's leading provider of cloud-based solutions for communications and collaboration and enhanced its profile and reach by building strong channel marketing programs and establishing partnerships with Major League Baseball and English Premier League teams. Prior to [Mitel](/org/mitel), he held marketing leadership roles with Sonus Networks and Fonality. He also served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Marketing for [Avaya](/org/avaya), where he guided all marketing initiatives following their 2009 acquisition of Nortel's enterprise division. Wes began his career in advertising, building brands including [American Airlines](/org/american-airlines), [Bank of America](/org/bank-of-america), Pace Picante Sauce, and Dial.

Christi Nicolacopoulos

Pete was at [Cisco](/org/cisco) for 13 years where he was instrumental in the company's transformation to a cloud-first recurring revenue model and software-led go-to-market approach. Most recently, Pete led the global SD-WAN sales team. Previously, he was responsible for the technical and go-to-market integration strategy and execution for the Meraki Business Unit. Prior to that, he led worldwide sales and strategy for the enterprise networking group, and helped develop [Cisco](/org/cisco)'s initial DNA and intent-based networking motions and offers.

Pete Doolittle

Ingrid has served as CMO for [H2O.ai](/org/h2o-ai), a leader in open source AI and machine learning, since 2018. She joined the board of directors at Aerohive in March 2019, and has served as a board advisor at DriveScale, a cloud infrastructure provider, since 2016. Prior to joining [H2O.ai](/org/h2o-ai), she was CMO at Hortonworks, where she drove a brand and marketing transformation. At SAP, she co-created the company's cloud strategy, led SAP HANA and analytics marketing, and drove developer outreach. She also served as CMO at Silver Spring Networks and Plantronics after a 20-year career at Sun Microsystems, where she was head of marketing. While there, she led Java marketing to build out a thriving developer community, championed and led open source initiatives, and drove various product and strategic initiatives. Ingrid has also advised startups as a marketing expert, including DriveScale, Paxata, and MapR.

Ingrid Burton

Norman leads the company’s product operations inclusive of Product Life Cycle, Global Supply Chain Management and Operations; Hardware Engineering; Information Technology and PMO; Global Marketing; and Corporate M&A and business partnerships. In addition, Norman is the Executive Sponsor for the Sports and Entertainment industry and the company’s National Football League (NFL) partnership.

Prior to Extreme, Norman worked in private equity as an operating partner with Marlin Equity, as managing director for New Castle Capital group and had management roles in technology firms CA (NASDAQ: CA), Concord Communications (Acquired by CA), Aprisma Management Technologies (Acquired by Concord), HoustonStreet Exchange and [MicroStrategy](/org/microstrategy) (NASDAQ: MSTR). Previously, Norman was a Director on the Boards of [DSP Group](/org/dsp-group) (NASDAQ: DSPG) and NitroSecurity (Acquired by McAfee) as well as on the Advisory Board of vKernel (Acquired by [Quest Software](/org/quest-software)). Norman holds a master’s degree in management and an MS in Engineering, both from Dartmouth College where he was a Scoville Fellow and Woodhouse Scholar award winner; as well as a BS from the University of Michigan.

Norman J. Rice, III

Kimberley Basnight serves as Senior Vice President of Talent at Extreme, as well as Head of Diversity and Inclusion, driving important initiatives that impact all employees including training, mentorship, recruiting, and building and transforming our culture. For example, she started Black at Extreme (“BEX”), an employee resource group that champions and facilitates workplace diversity by embracing cultural, ethnic, and racial differences. The group provides programming that promotes inclusion in recruitment activities, offers professional development, and enables a more collaborative and diverse work environment.

Basnight has more than 20 years of experience in executive program management, strategic planning, organizational change management, and operations. She previously served as Chief of Staff/Office of the CEO at Extreme. Prior to that, she was Director of IT Program Management at Extreme. Before joining the company, she held leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies, including IBM and [Lenovo](/org/lenovo). Basnight was part of the charter group of IBM professionals in the mid-90s who trained at [George Washington University](/org/gwu) to be a part of the IBM Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCOE) and helped to implement project offices throughout IBM’s then 10,000 employee campus. Over her career, she has led, implemented, and supported IT project management offices, establishing project governance, change management programs, and training for emerging project managers.

Basnight holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science, Computer Information Systems from North Carolina Wesleyan University.

Rémi Thomas is the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he oversees Extreme’s worldwide financial planning, analysis, accounting, reporting, and internal auditing procedures, and supports investor relations. Rémi has 25+ years of global finance experience. Prior to joining Extreme, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller at CA Technologies, where he led the organization in the preparation of financial statements, financial reports and SEC and Regulatory filings, and provided executive leadership on all operational accounting activities. Rémi has also served as Vice President of Finance at HPE Software, a business unit of [Hewlett Packard Enterprise](/org/hewlett-packard-enterprise), and worked for Alcatel-Lucent– mostly in Paris and Shanghai – in various finance leadership roles including CFO for Enterprise and Strategic Industries, CFO for APAC, CFO for Wireless Networks and finally, head of M&A and Corporate Development.

He has a Master of Business Administration from [University of Warwick](/org/university-of-warwick) in the UK, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Toulouse Business School in France.

Rémi Thomas

Katy Motiey serves as the Chief Administrative and Sustainability Officer at Extreme. She has over 25 years of global legal and employment law experience encompassing corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, debt restructuring, commercial contract negotiation and licensing, patent and trademark portfolio management, IP litigation, IPO process management, corporate sustainability, as well as real estate, facilities and employment matters.

Motiey has developed a deep understanding of HR matters as a result of her previous in-house positions. She has been a driving force in building Extreme’s Women’s Leadership Council, started in 2018. She is also the corporate sponsor for Extreme’s partnership with the American India Foundation, a non-profit organization that is devoted to accelerating social and economic change in India. Additionally, Motiey spearheaded our deployment of [Bloom Energy](/org/bloom-energy), which has created significant cost savings and reduced our carbon emissions in California and was at the forefront of adding Social Responsibility to our Corporate Governance charter in fiscal 2020.

Prior to Extreme, Motiey was Corporate Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at Spansion. Prior to that, she was General Counsel & Secretary as well as VP of HR at InvenSense, and General Counsel & Secretary Magellan Navigation & Ashtech, and Maple Optical Systems, as well as being Senior Corporate Counsel at Alta Vista. She began her career as a law clerk to Judge Manuel Real, who was then the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, followed by time as an associate at Skadden, Arps, a New York-based law firm.

Katy Motiey

Nabil serves as the Chief Product and Engineering Officer. In his role, Nabil leads the vision, strategy, execution and delivery of Extreme’s suite of differentiated products and technologies. Leading one of the industry’s brightest collection of technical minds, Nabil oversees a team of more than 1,100 people in product definition, planning and execution.

As a global authority in technology and portfolio strategy, Nabil is a frequent guest columnist for Forbes magazine and speaker at international summits. He often speaks about the role of cutting-edge technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence in networking, and his deeply held philosophy around the democratization of technology.

Nabil joined Extreme as part of the Brocade acquisition, he has more than 20 years of experience within the technology sector, in various capacities like sales, engineering, product management and cloud operations. Prior to Extreme, he held key leadership roles at various companies including [Cisco](/org/cisco), [Seagate](/org/seagate), [SonicWall](/org/sonicwall-inc) and Riverstone Networks. He retains a degree in Engineering as well as a MBA from London School of Economics, NYU Stern and [HEC Paris](/org/hec-paris).

John C. Shoemaker is the Chairman of the Board at [Extreme Networks](/org/extreme-networks). John has held this position since December 2010. Prior to that, they were the Chairman of SonicWALL from January 2004 to December 2010. John has also been a Board of Director for Altera Corporation from March 2007 to January 2016. 

Shoemaker began their career in April 1969 as a Senior Vice President at Xerox Corporation. John then moved to Sun Microsystems, Inc. in January 1989 and retired as the EVP and General Manager [Computer Systems](/org/computer-systems-com) in December 2002. From there, they became a Director and/or Advisor to startups for companies such as NYRIAD, GoodSocial, [TalentSky](/org/talentsky), Conformative Systems, Astute Networks, and NOSTRA. 

Shoemaker has a long history of representing the best interests of shareholders and ensuring compliance with all government regulations. John currently resides in California.
