Christopher Baylow

Science & Technology Sector Co-Leader at EYP

Chris brings 30 years of client leadership and project management, planning, and design experience on large, sophisticated academic scientific research and teaching facilities. He is heavily involved in every aspect of the design process, with a particular focus on the development of high-performance building envelopes and energy-efficient building systems. Chris led the New Mixed-use Research Building on Northeastern University's Innovation Campus, as well as the Nolop Fabrication, Analysis, Simulation, and Testing (FAST) Facility at Tufts University, and the Bioengineering Teaching & Entrepreneurship Center (BTEC) at Boston University.

Chris has a particular interest in the ever-changing paradigm of academic research and teaching, and the critical role building performance plays in the design of high-technology buildings. The cross-pollination of research disciplines, convergence science, and how high-performance building systems and assemblies can work in concert with the architecture, are key considerations for Chris in understanding the next generation of laboratory design.

In addition to his role as Managing Principal of the Boston office, Chris is responsible for leading some of the firm’s most sophisticated research facility projects.
